Indian Institute of Technology Hyderabad (IIT-H), India, and Kathmandu University (KU), Nepal, have decided to provide the Joint Doctoral Programme (JDP) at the PhD level in all fields of study, which is a significant step toward internationalization.
During the recent visit of the IIT-H team to KU, several further agreements were made to further improve the links between the two institutions. Brilliant and driven students from Nepal and India will get the chance to collaborate on cutting edge medical breakthroughs, science, technology, and design projects under this JDP program.
Students accepted into KU’s JDP will be able to attend IIT-H for up to a year, with financial assistance from IIT-H scholarships, and vice versa. The goal of this organization is to foster fruitful scholarly and research partnerships in fields of complementary expertise and shared interest. Using the combined strengths of the two schools, it aims to advance top-notch research.
Both institutions have decided to swap faculty members in order to collaborate on the major concerns shared by both nations, with the goal of advancing mutual academic and research cooperation to even greater heights. The two institutions decided to strengthen their continued cooperation, particularly in the fields of yoga, medical technology, and heritage science.
