Rajendra Lingden, chair of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP), asked the government to place a high priority on development, good governance, and efficient public service delivery.

In his speech to the frontline cadres’ meeting and the RPP Gandaki provincial level plenary conference on Tuesday in Pokhara, he claimed, “We have changed the country’s governance system but failed to transform the lives of the people.”

He emphasized the necessity to look into corruption committed at any point in time and said that politics had become a business in Nepal. “When I became the nation’s Energy Minister, I made significant judgments. But not a single dime was stolen from me.

He also said that engaging in corruption was equivalent to draining mother Nepal’s blood.

Lingden said in a media interview at the time that the RPP would not join the administration right away.
